The present mandate aims to conduct a critical analysis of the space of Place Royale, including an assessment of its spatial ergonomics and comfort, in order to identify what works and what hinders its appropriation by the public.
The approach is primarily based on in situ observations. From these observations, a series of findings and latent potentials were identified.
A precedent study then made it possible to highlight solutions developed by designers and architects when faced with similar challenges. These precedents are organized according to the themes explored in the analysis section.
Building on both the analysis and the precedents, we propose a set of strategies to address the issues facing Place Royale.
Finally, following a combinatory logic, the assembly of these strategies gives rise to scenarios that open up a range of possibilities for the future of Place Royale.
